About Gillian
I am a 16 year old junior at Beacon High School, NYC. As someone who struggled with reading, writing, and comprehension from a young age, I understand how scary test-taking and writing essays can be. My goal is to help other young students who have struggled with the same issues and anxieties overcome that fear and build new skill sets. After taking the SHSAT, regents, and state tests, I've built up strategies that have helped me focus, study, and succeed.

I've been reading and studying literature from a young age, I hope to work with other students to focus in on the prep of english testing, (SHSAT, state tests, etc.) as well as basic grammar and comprehension. A typical lesson can be mainly chosen/led by the student, focusing in on any specific set of skills or prep chosen by them. I can also create any lessons requested, this can be based on literature, grammar, writing skills, or others. These lessons generally would be for 8-14 year olds.
