About Julissa
Exactly 303 students have walked through my door to refine their technique over the last 13 years. I help people develop essential skills like sight reading and double stops alongside posture and shifting.
My training at the Juilliard School informs how I approach intonation and left hand agility. I also emphasize scale work and arpeggios to build a solid base for classical repertoire. You can expect a calm environment where we break down complex orchestral playing into manageable steps. I keep things balanced so that steady progress remains the primary focus.

Your first 10.0 minutes will involve a gentle assessment of your current physical form and tone production. We talk about how the bow connects with the string to create a clear sound before moving into specific shifting exercises. Because of my 13 years in the field, I can identify small inefficiencies in your posture that might be holding you back. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree, so I teach the mechanics of the instrument with significant precision.
We keep our conversation light while tackling the rigorous demands of classical pieces. This process ensures that you feel supported rather than overwhelmed.
I provide clear feedback that makes even the most difficult passages seem accessible. My teaching method ensures you build a sustainable foundation. Hard work pays off when technique becomes second nature.
