About Quincy
Hi! My name is Quincy, and I started tutoring to work toward my dream of studying Computer Science and becoming a software developer. Teaching helps me save for university while doing something meaningful helping others learn, grow, and gain confidence.
Along the way, I’ve learned that the best way to learn is to make it interesting and fun. When learners enjoy what they’re doing, they absorb more and stay motivated, which leads to better progress and confidence.
I enjoy connecting with learners and creating a positive, encouraging learning environment. Tutoring has helped me build strong communication skills, patience, and responsibility, which I carry into everything I do.

I believe that consistency leads to success. I teach confidently in both English and Afrikaans and prefer in-person lessons, although online sessions can be arranged when needed.
Each lesson usually starts with a short assessment to understand your current level. From there, I create a personalized study plan focused on improving weak areas, while giving extra attention to important topics such as geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and calculus.
I mainly work with FET learners but also have experience teaching lower grades. I enjoy motivating my students and showing them that improvement is possible I personally improved my own math mark from 17% to 76%, and I love helping others achieve the same success
