About Jenyel
I remember exactly what it feels like to struggle with a new language, because I've been there myself. That's part of why I became a tutor. For the past 1 year and 1 month, I've worked with kids in my own community, helping them go from struggling with basic English to actually enjoying reading and speaking it out loud. I don't just follow a textbook — I teach the way I wish I'd been taught: patiently, one step at a time, adjusted to how each child actually learns. Every lesson is built around your child's pace, interests, and goals, because no two learners are the same. This class is for kids or teens wanting to improve their speech and reading ability. Every student is different. Some need extra help with reading, some want to build confidence speaking, some are prepping for exams, and some just want English to feel less scary. That's why I don't run the same lesson plan for everyone. Before we start, I get to know your child, their interests, their pace, their goals and build lessons around that.
What this looks like in practice:
- If your child loves stories, we read and talk about books they actually enjoy.
- If your child needs exam prep, we work through real practice materials at a pace that builds confidence instead of stress.
- If your child is shy about speaking, we start slow and build up through games and low-pressure conversation.
- Scheduling works around your family's life evenings, weekends, whatever fits.
My goal isn't just to teach English. It's to help your child actually enjoy learning it, and to see real, visible progress along the way.
