About Adam
Hey there! I'm Adam, and I offer customized guitar lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. I've played guitar for over 20 years in various styles of music ranging from rock, punk and metal all the way up to country, pop, indie and even ambient music. I've been a full-time musician for over five years, doing everything from touring in bands (pre-pandemic) to composing for film and trailers, producing artists, songwriting, audio mixing and even sound design. Throughout my journey in music, I've always made time for teaching in one way or another in order to ensure I'm always spreading the joy of music to others along my path. From designing course curriculum for the City of Toronto's Guitar program and running their Rock & Roll Camp in my twenties to designing bespoke guitar lessons for The National Guitar Academy in my thirties, teaching music lies at the core of everything that I do. I believe that everyone's path toward learning music is completely unique, and it takes a certain type of teacher to see that and honor it. I don't believe in generalized lesson plans, and that's why no two guitar lessons that I offer will ever be the same. Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time; or an experienced player just looking to brush up on some new skills, I'm more than happy to create a lesson plan that works perfectly for you.
We'll start by examining your current skill set and experience, talk about the goals you want to hit and how we'll aim to hit them, and get you set up with a series of lessons that will help push you forward faster.
But before we get there, let's talk about who you and I both are.
Who You Are: A student who loves music and is craving the chance to learn guitar with a teacher who will pay attention to your needs, learning styles and goals.
Who I Am: A guitar instructor with 15 years experience in teaching, and 23+ years of playing under my belt who understands that no two learning curves are alike.
It doesn't matter whether this is your first time playing or your tenth year - learning new skills can be overwhelming without a process to follow.
