About Stellan

I am a passionate Saxophone tutor with 15 years of experience, and I have guided nearly 150 students through different stages of learning. I teach students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners.

My teaching style is highly personalised and supportive. I understand that every student has different goals, strengths, and challenges. I begin by understanding the student’s needs and then create a lesson plan that suits their learning style and comfort level.

Lessons focus on tone quality, breathing technique, finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I also include basic theory and listening skills to help students understand music more deeply. I regularly review progress and adjust lessons to ensure steady improvement.

What makes my teaching unique is my strong support system for students. I encourage questions, guide students patiently, and help them stay motivated. My goal is to help students grow confidently and enjoy their musical journey with the saxophone.

About the lesson

I follow a teaching methodology for saxophone that emphasises adaptability, collaboration, and a positive learning environment. I understand that every student has a distinct way of learning, so I customise lessons to suit individual styles, goals, and interests, making learning effective and enjoyable.

Flexibility allows lessons to evolve with student progress and motivation, ensuring sessions remain productive and inspiring. Collaboration encourages students to explore improvisation, contribute ideas, and take an active role in shaping their musical journey, fostering creativity and confidence.

I create a supportive and positive atmosphere where successes are celebrated and challenges are seen as opportunities for growth. Lessons cover saxophone technique, musical expression, improvisation, performance preparation, and theory, giving students a complete skill set.

Beyond saxophone, I provide instruction in music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and ensemble performance. My teaching philosophy is to cultivate versatile, confident musicians who are passionate and expressive in their musical pursuits.
