About Ruby

I teach guitar with an intuitive, song-based approach that combines real-world playing with strong foundational skills. From the first lesson, we focus on making music that excites you, while gradually building technique that lasts. Lessons cover barre chords, rhythm tracking, finger independence, and stylistic playing across blues, pop, folk, and jazz. I adapt my teaching to suit every type of learner. Beginners gain confidence and fluency, while more advanced players refine expression, improvisation, and musicality. We use songs as springboards to practice technique, develop phrasing, and explore creative arrangements. For players who want to dive into rich harmonic explorations or lead meaningful performances, I provide guidance to play with clarity, purpose, and confidence. You’ll learn to lock into grooves, shape musical phrases, and connect emotionally with the music you love. Each lesson is tailored to your goals, helping you grow both technically and artistically.

About the lesson

I’m a guitar tutor with 7 years of experience and a Diploma of Music specializing in Guitar. I love helping musicians grow as part of a group, whether in bands, duos, or acoustic jam sessions. There’s something magical about creating music together, and I focus on making every ensemble sound tight and expressive.

My teaching revolves around a rehearsal-based approach. We emphasize listening, timing, and arranging parts so that every player has their space. It’s not just about practicing exercises—it’s about real-time playing, refining grooves, and locking into the music as a team.

I’ve guided many students from hesitant beginners to confident performers who thrive on stage. Seeing them step into live settings and play with assurance is incredibly rewarding. Lessons are tailored to each student’s role, helping them contribute meaningfully while developing their own voice.

Whether you’re on rhythm, lead, or harmony, I focus on building strong musical communication and stage presence. My sessions are practical, fun, and grounded in real-world performance skills.
