About Henry

My values as a teacher are connection, enjoyment, and understanding. I want to help you learn how you like to learn, what you want to learn, and I want to make sure you understand what is being taught. I have played for 22 years as well as written and produced my own music as well as recording for other artists’ songs. I have performed with my A Cappella group at Carnegie Hall, The White House (2015), and The Beacon Theater in NY. I have also taught elementary and middle school as a substitute teacher in Northern California. My best skills are my patience, communication, and dedication to my students.

About the lesson

My name is Henry. I have played piano for twenty years, both classical and Jazz and I want you to love this instrument.

My passion is helping people who love poetry, singing, or writing to learn how to write songs. I have always enjoyed improvising and creating my own music. I want to help you go from a few lyrics to a full song, or from a melody to a personal piece.

I am also happy to help you learn the basics of Jazz or Classical music theory which will allow you to learn new songs on your own quickly and accurately.

My goal is for you or your child to have fun and enjoy playing so you want to come back to the instrument again. I hope you resonated with my approach and will reach out.
