About Qianhui

Hi! My name is Qianhui Zhang, but you can call me Renee.
I’m a native speaker of both Chinese and Japanese, and I’m currently studying at California State University, Sacramento. I passed the JLPT N1 exam and also work as a Japanese tutor at my college. In the future, I aspire to become a Japanese teacher, and I’m passionate about teaching Japanese. That’s why I’m here to find people interested in learning Japanese. Whether you’re a beginner or have no prior knowledge of the language, you’re welcome to take lessons with me. I warmly welcome learners of all ages to study Japanese.
Japanese is a fascinating language, and I personally love Japanese culture, including both traditional and pop culture. Let’s embark on the journey of learning about Japanese culture and language together!

About the lesson

My class is suitable for beginners (regardless of age), whether you have zero knowledge of Japanese or want to improve your pronunciation and intonation in Japanese speaking.
The content of my lessons will be adjusted according to each student's level. I'll first get to know the student's learning goals and proficiency to modify the course accordingly.
For beginners and those with no prior knowledge of Japanese, I usually start with the fifty sounds (Hiragana and Katakana) and then gradually progress to learning vocabulary, kanji and example sentences while explaining grammar along the way.
As a native speaker of both Chinese and Japanese, I can offer valuable advice on Japanese pronunciation and intonation. If you're interested in Japanese because of its culture, like anime, we can discuss that as well, and I'll make sure to incorporate topics that interest you.
