I start off by assessing how your child best learns. Some are very hands on while others simply learn by listening. I then give them a series of different levels of reading challenges to better understand where your child is at developmentally. I find that working simultaneously on spelling and reading with repetition gets the best results and helps them absorb the information better and furthermore helps boost their confidence. I use games, flash cards and different techniques that help keep the learning experience with a tutor not so dull.
