About Jared
Playing within professional orchestras for 13 years taught me that listening is the most vital skill for any string musician. This insight guides my 9 years of full-time teaching as I help students refine their classical repertoire and prepare for ABRSM or Trinity grade exams. Scales are essential.
I focus heavily on 3 octave scales, arpeggios, and double stops alongside ear training. My approach is detail-oriented and unhurried because progress requires a steady hand and patience.

Sound clarity is essential. I provide recorded playback of tricky passages so you have a clear reference for your home practice sessions.
During our time together, we will build a solid foundation using the Galamian system to ensure your technique remains consistent across all registers. My 9 years of orchestral work inform how I demonstrate phrasing and intonation for my students. We will focus on the mechanics of your bowing and left hand finger placement to ensure you feel supported throughout your development. Expect an environment where the music comes first.
