About Giovanni

Ciao, my name is Giovanni and I come from Teramo, a beautiful city in the heart of Abruzzo. I moved to London more than 11 years ago after studying English language in high school and university (G.D`Annunzio - Pescara). I moved to the UK willing to improve my language skills and get experience in tutoring and teaching my beautiful native language. I put a lot of passion in what I do and I love to share my knowledge of Italian language and culture. If you are looking for a friendly and passionate Italian tutor look no further and contact me. I have been teaching in person and online,1 on 1 an groups for many years and my teaching style is simple but effective: learning has to be fun too. I gained experience during the past years teaching to students from all over the world, from kids to school and university students, adult learners and elder students, collecting 5 star reviews on many different platforms. It is so satisfying when the students achieve their goals and enjoy speaking, writing and understanding Italian language and culture. If you like Italy and are willing to learn such an amazing, romantic and full of passion language as the Italian one don`t hesitate to contact me.

About the lesson

I will provide all the books and learning resources needed for the lesson, you just need a laptop. a notebook and a pen and anything else will be provided to you.
The lessons will be fun and engaging, sometimes using interactive books so you can work on the conversation, grammar and comprehension from the very first lesson without having to spend extra money in books or additional subscriptions.

We will cover together the basics of the language grammar, while working immediately also on vocabulary builder and basic conversation.
Once advanced to the intermediate level, we can start to explore more about the Italian culture and dive into topics that you like such as politics, sport, literature or any other, this way we will alternate academic learning, with fun and engaging topics.

I couldn’t recommend Giovanni enough - he was extremely time giving and focussed to my objectives for the lesson - not just within the tutorial itself but beforehand and afterwards. Prior to the lesson, Giovanni put a lot of effort and genuine care into building a menu which was suitable to my goals and following the tutorial, he took a genuine interest in my opinion of the dishes created.

Within the tutorial itself, Giovanni was patient, friendly, engaging and full of fascinating tips and tricks which I will use from now on. I really enjoyed myself and will definitely cook with Giovanni again in the future.
