About Ismail
Teaching has always been my passion. As part of love of teaching, I have completed all pedagogical requirements in my B.S. Physics curriculum that has provided me the teaching credentials. I also received my certificate for online teaching. I have been teaching as an adjunct physics professor at a local collage for the past 2 years. I lectured engineering and non-engineering college students in Physics classes with their respective labs. I also worked as a Physics Tutor at a local tutoring company for about 4 years, tutored in Physics & Math to college and high school students at all levels. As a graduate teaching assistant, I taught undergraduate Physics, recitation, and laboratory classes to engineering and non‐engineering students at various levels, gave exams and done grading at the Department of Physics. I tutored many junior high, high school and university students in Physics and Math to date.
I have both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Physics, and a Ph.D. degree in Chemical & Materials Engineering. I also have 20 years of professional industrial R&D experience, worked as a Chief Scientist in the corporate world. My work involved providing technical leadership in applications, bringing cutting edge technology to products portfolio through applied research & development, writing up technical articles in the journals and giving presentations as appropriate, highlighting new research findings. I am the author of 20+ articles and 30+ presentations to date in various market verticals.

My teaching philosophy is to produce and sustain an all-inclusive positive classroom environment where students feel motivated to engage in only positive behaviors, which in return, will reduce disruption and prevent the need to apply reactive strategies. As a proactive teacher, I not only generate a feeling of community in the classroom by providing meaningful student-to-teacher and student-to-student interactions, but also being aware of needy students who may need an extra hand in the school day. Learning contributes to teaching, and teaching is inseparable from learning. With this mindset, I seek feedback from students for improvements on my teaching style. As far as teaching Physics concerned, I design the framework in which students can learn and excel their knowledge on the subject matter, by providing help in terms of knowledge, techniques, and encouragement.
