About Laura

I have tutored students for over seven years to help individuals increase their skills as writers and readers. I graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in English from UCI, and my goal is to make writing, reading, and history feel more approachable. I hope to give students the confidence to love being creative and the information to use their abilities effectively in school and out of the classroom. I work on whatever the student needs to succeed. I have taught about 25 students in the past year, helping children and adults.

About the lesson

-I tailor lesson plans based on the needs of each individual
-I incorporate student interests into each session by using relevant examples to enhance understanding
-I tutor K-12 students in creative writing, essay building, grammar, reading comprehension, literature, journalism, and history.
-Experience working with over 25 children thus far
I don't have a typical lesson plan because every student is special and should be treated as unique. I try to make my lessons fun and engaging while also teaching them what they need to know to move on in school or in life!
I often work with ESL students and those who are new to America and have helped many students go up 1-4 letter grades
