About Breandán

As a fluent Irish speaker with years of experience as a student of the language at both second and third level education, I hope to help you on your journey as you discover what a beautiful rich language Irish can be. As a native of Galway, I completed all of my schooling through Irish. This early exposure to the language taught me the importance of viewing Irish as a language that should be used outside of the schooling system. I took this passion with me to Dublin City University where I completed my degree in Irish. I graduated with first honors and a mention on the Dean's Honors list. I was then awarded the Bonn Uí Chadhain, an award presented to the student with the highest grades across all Irish courses. This lets you know you are in good hands should you choose to learn Irish with me. I hope to pass on my experience and love of the language to those looking to discover the beauty and importance of Ireland's national language. I am interested in helping those who are looking to improve their Irish for the State exams or people looking to take their first steps in learning the language.

About the lesson

Irish lessons with Breandán Beatha Teanga í a labhairt, as we say in Irish. I put a heavy emphasis on using Irish as a spoken language. My lessons are always with the goal of giving students the confidence to use more Irish in their everyday lives. I offer 121s which last 1 hour @$35 Tá fáilte roimh chách! Everyone is welcome, whether you have the cúpla focal, you are looking to connect to your roots or you are a student looking to brush up on your Irish before a big exam, I am more than happy to help.
