About Khorshid

I was introduced to traditional Iranian music at an early age, growing up in a musical family with a deep appreciation for this rich cultural heritage. I specialize in both Setar (a beautiful and expressive Iranian string instrument) and traditional Iranian singing. I have over 15 years of experience playing Setar and more than 5 years teaching both instrumental and vocal music to students of all ages. After years of personal exploration and dedication, I decided to pursue music academically as well—earning a second bachelor’s degree in music alongside my career as an architectural designer. Today, as a trained musician, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others connect with the beauty of Persian classical music. I offer personalized, engaging lessons in both Setar and traditional Iranian singing, tailored to all levels.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured around Master Zolfonoon’s books for playing Setar and Radif and Tasnifs for traditional singing tailored to each student’s level and goals. I value consistency, open communication, and creating a supportive, respectful learning environment for each student.
