About Stephen

With years of research and extensive writing courses under my belt, I believe that my past experience in both leadership and private tutoring has only grown over time. I work tirelessly in the field of film, crafting my own screenplays and shorts at the University of Miami as a junior. However, I don't just enjoy being behind the camera. I also am an active member of the U's Business School, where I am pursuing an Economics major. On my own time, I research and investigate student loans and the overall admission process extensively. While I don't hold a specific degree, I was in your shoes more recently than any adult that will reach out and try to be your college advisor. I have been tutoring my peers for multiple years now, and I'm here for your success and future college experience.

About the lesson

- need general advice on where to go, what's realistic, and what's your best option for the best price?

I was there too. Just two years ago. And my school counselors never helped me. So I went to the professionals and gained hands-on experience in the college admission industry and how they select their students. I researched extensively into student loans, locations, and overall student quality of life. Let me pass this collective knowledge on to you.

First of all, we'll weigh your options. GPA, weighted or unweighted, is unfortunately the most important aspect that any college takes into account. Some other factors that we can review include:
- extra-curricular activities (including sports)
- academic scholarships/awards
- skills/activities
- community service hours
-artistic portfolios

You get the point. Basically, anything you did during your high school years is going to help you find the right college or university.

What I'll do for you:
-handcraft a professional resume and jumpstart your LinkedIn profile
- carefully build your application with you virtually, including in-depth conversations on essay choice, construction, revision, and overall choice of grammar.
- extra sessions available for help on supplementary essays
- work with you transparently on financial terms, including cost of attendance (COA), housing, dining, and hidden fees.
- advise, but not tell. It's important for students to know that it's their choice at the end of the day, not anyone else's.
