About Hayato
I am a first-generation college graduate who has been tutoring ever since my third year of college. I have tutored students in groups of 1-31 in a given session (both virtually and face to face). I am experienced in tutoring using Zoom, Discord, and Blackboard Collaborate, and I am willing to learn any online platform to make sure everyone has access to the help that they need. The success of my students is the benchmark of my own success, so I strive to ensure that students can be successful one day even without the aid of a tutor. Be it an interactive Venn diagram, test review jeopardy, or even a scientific game of Kahoot my lesson plans are designed to make sure you're never just sitting there listening to me lecture. I make sure my tutees are thinking critically, considering alternatives, or even laughing at a silly joke to lighten the mood after a productive day of tutoring.
Every student learns differently and no single method can work for everyone. This is why when I tutor, I focus on creating a safe space to ask questions without feeling shamed and creating engaging lessons that guarantee you'll walk away feeling knowledgeable and more confident. My past students have said that "You make going to tutoring fun" and that it was something that they actively looked forward to attending.
