About Maharramova

I am an experienced English language educator, educational leader, and curriculum developer with more than ten years of teaching experience across language training centers, international schools, and secondary education settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of diverse ages, backgrounds, and proficiency levels, helping them develop strong language skills, critical thinking abilities, and confidence in their academic pursuits.

My professional journey began in 2011 and has since expanded to include teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), Cambridge IGCSE English, and Cambridge Global Perspectives. I have extensive experience designing engaging lesson plans, developing educational materials, supporting student achievement, and preparing learners for international examinations. As the founder of Teach Land, I have also gained valuable experience in educational management, teacher development, and the organization of extracurricular learning opportunities that connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.

I hold a CELTA qualification and two master's degrees: a Master of Arts in Human Development and Leadership from George Washington University and a Master's degree in Education Administration from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. These academic experiences have strengthened my expertise in educational leadership, curriculum development, organizational management, and student-centered learning.

Beyond the classroom, I have actively contributed to educational and community initiatives. I have served as a Model United Nations (MUN) advisor, UNESCO ASPNET Coordinator, and member of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) team, leading projects that promote global citizenship, sustainability, intercultural understanding, and student leadership. In addition, my work as a translator for Khan Academy has enhanced my skills in educational content development, proofreading, and bilingual communication.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that education should be meaningful, engaging, and connected to real-life experiences. I strive to create inclusive learning environments where students feel valued, motivated, and empowered to reach their full potential. Through innovative teaching practices, collaborative learning, and effective educational leadership, I aim to inspire lifelong learning and contribute positively to the development of future generations.

Looking ahead, my goal is to continue growing as an educational leader, pursue advanced studies in Educational Psychology, and ultimately establish a school that combines high-quality English language instruction with innovative, real-world learning opportunities. Through my work, I hope to contribute to the advancement of education in Azerbaijan and expand access to quality learning opportunities for students from all b

I believe that effective learning takes place when students are actively engaged and can connect classroom content to real-life experiences. Therefore, I conduct my lessons using a student-centered approach that encourages participation, critical thinking, collaboration, and practical application of knowledge.

At the beginning of each lesson, I establish clear learning objectives and activate students' prior knowledge through warm-up activities, discussions, or problem-solving tasks. This helps students understand the purpose of the lesson and creates a meaningful connection to the topic being studied.

During the lesson, I use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. These include pair and group work, project-based learning, role-plays, presentations, educational technology, and interactive tasks. As an English language educator, I place particular emphasis on communicative activities that allow students to use language in authentic contexts rather than focusing solely on theoretical knowledge.

I strive to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their ideas, asking questions, and taking risks in their learning. I encourage learner autonomy by providing opportunities for students to reflect on their progress, set personal learning goals, and take responsibility for their own development.

Assessment is integrated throughout my lessons through observation, classroom participation, quizzes, peer assessment, and constructive feedback. I use assessment not only to measure achievement but also to identify areas for improvement and adapt my teaching to meet students' needs.

Technology and real-world materials are important components of my teaching practice. Whenever possible, I incorporate digital tools, authentic resources, and real-life scenarios to make learning more relevant and engaging. My goal is to help students develop not only academic knowledge but also the communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills necessary for success in the modern world.

Ultimately, I aim to create lessons that are engaging, purposeful, and learner-focused, enabling students to achieve their full potential while developing confidence and a lifelong love
