About Emanuele Bruno
I am an international exchange student from Rome (IT) who is studying International Relations and Global Politics. I am currently in Vancouver, which is the city where I did my exchange, and I am planning to stay over summer to teach Italian. I am looking forward to teaching Italian to people with different cultural backgrounds, hoping to transmit to them the passion and interest for the Italian language and culture. I really love traveling and discovering new cultures. I used to do diving for seven years at a competitive level, not scuba diving, but actual diving from trampolines and platforms. Despite quitting in 2020, I still enjoy looking for places where I can go cliff diving or any aquatic centers that have diving infrastructures.

My lessons are both for students who are taking Italian classes in middle school, high school, and university, but also for those who are interested in learning Italian. Therefore, not necessarily only students. My methodology is mainly focused on following the textbook students have at their disposal with the topics they are supposed to apprehend by the end of the semester for exams or quiz preparation. However, I am also able to share some materials that I have from a different textbook than the one used by students with additional exercises and explanations. My main goal for each session is to first understand what the students' necessities are and the parts the student has a priority in order to be improved throughout the learning process. Each lesson has a duration of at least one hour. A typical lesson usually starts with 10/15 minutes of conversation, while the rest of the session is going to be focused on different learning objectives (vocabulary, writing, reading, and listening).

Emanuele is a very professional and patient teacher. As he was born and raised in Italy, he was able to give a great insight into the Italian culture which made my learning experience better. I also got to learn Italian faster than I anticipated, thanks to how efficient he is. Due to these factors I would definitely recommend learning Italian with him!
