About Eilidh

Hello! I'm Eilidh, a student at the University of St Andrews, where I study International Relations, German and Italian. I have a genuine passion for languages and enjoy helping others build confidence while achieving their own learning goals.

Outside of my studies, my interests range from football to language learning, and I believe lessons should be both engaging and enjoyable. I am always happy to create a personalised learning journey that reflects your interests, learning style and objectives.

Alongside university, I am the Founder and CEO of a youth-led non-profit organisation that provides stationery and educational resources to children and schools across Africa and Asia. Through this role, I have developed strong communication, leadership and organisational skills while furthering my commitment to improving access to education.

My passion for languages has also led to a range of rewarding opportunities, including receiving the YouthBridge Award for Excellence in German and being selected to attend a prestigious UK–German Connection language seminar at the King's Estate.

As a fellow language learner, I understand both the challenges and the excitement of learning a new language and immersing yourself in a different culture. My aim is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where you can develop your confidence, enjoy the learning process and achieve your personal goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that balances enjoyable, interactive activities with targeted practice to help work towards measurable progress.

Lessons typically last between 50 minutes and one hour, although I am happy to adapt the length and scheduling to suit your availability and learning goals.

I welcome learners of all ages and abilities, with particular experience supporting children through debate, sports coaching and language learning. These experiences have enabled me to create lessons that are structured, encouraging and enjoyable, helping students build both confidence and strong communication skills.

Alongside my studies at the University of St Andrews, where I am reading International Relations, German and Italian, I achieved straight A grades at both Higher and National 5 level. Having recently completed the Scottish education system myself, I have first-hand experience of the skills, study techniques and examination methods required for academic success.

This allows me to combine effective teaching strategies with practical insight, helping students develop both their language ability and confidence in real-world and academic settings.
