About Yuri
I am an international graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Goiás and a General Engineer from IMT Atlantique in France. I have lived academic and professional experiences in different contexts and places, which has allowed me not only to develop fluency in English and French, but also to understand what it is like to live and study in multicultural contexts.
I teach Portuguese and French to those who want to live abroad, prepare for proficiency exams or even reinforce high school and university subjects. My methodology is practical, adapted to the pace of each student, and always connected to real-life situations and the academic environment.

My lessons are completely personalized: before starting, I talk to the student to understand their goals (living abroad, passing a proficiency exam, reinforcing subjects or simply gaining more confidence in communication). From there, I prepare a study plan adapted to each person's level, pace and learning style.
I like to work in a practical way, bringing in real situations - such as everyday dialogues, academic vocabulary and cultural expressions - so that learning is useful outside the classroom, as traditional courses don't teach everything about everyday life. For those looking to pass exams, I include mock exams and specific techniques for each test. For those who need tutoring at school or university, I focus on clarity and organization, making it easier to understand content that seems complex. I can even teach a school topic in a language other than English if necessary.
Having studied and worked in different places, I can bring concrete examples of how the language is used in academic, professional and informal contexts. This makes the lessons more dynamic and helps the student feel more confident in any situation.
