About Caoimhe
My name is Caoimhe, I'm 22 and I am an International Business student.
I completed my Leaving Certificate during 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic emerged and educational assistance was scarce. Due to the implementation of the predicted grades system during these times, I was very overwhelmed at the thought of receiving my results and not being granted my first selection of the CAO. After receiving a somewhat disappointing offer, I decided to accept - which led me to my first degree in Politics and International Relations. During my time pursuing this degree, my appreciation for good teaching grew, as lecturers were hands-on and offered extra learning support to anyone and everyone who needed it in order for students to flourish.
Although I decided to ultimately change my degree, my passion for tutoring began thanks to this opportunity.
So why Business Studies?
Despite studying Economics during my Leaving Certificate, I did not understand it to the depth that I could of - due to poor teaching strategies and different learning styles. However, after encountering different approaches in University, I learned that it is the method in which a subject is taught that enables students to learn with ease.
To conclude, my ultimate aim as a tutor is to enforce a positive, relaxed and encouraging learning environment in addition to providing affordable lessons.
Learning is essential, and offering high quality tutoring in addition to affordability is my objective for all clients.

I am currently pursuing my degree in International Business, following two years at UCD studying Politics and International Relations. I currently hold a level 6 in Business studies, with my interest in such subjects peaking during my Leaving Certificate, whilst studying Economics. During my time at UCD, I furthermore earned credentials in Human Learning which developed my interest in tutoring Leaving Certificate students, as learning/teaching styles are a crucial element in achieving rewarding results.
My Techniques/Methodologies:
Each student is exceptionally different, which emphasises the need for catered teaching methodologies that suit the needs of every student. Students are assessed on their level of understanding, to which I devise a personalised strategy that may consist of note packs/educational videos/graphics/extended sessions etc. Furthermore, students are approached with no judgement, a relaxed environment and an encouraging stance that reaps rewarding results.

Lessons are conducted via teams/zoom and typically range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on individual needs/preference.
Who are my Lessons for?
My Lessons typically cater towards Leaving Certificate students, however students of secondary school age who need assistance are more than welcome!
