About Philippe
I love languages, and I am looking for a chance to share that enthusiasm with others! I have never taught in a school classroom before, but I have been using Spanish for over a decade. Let me know how I can help you meet your language goals!
I started college-level courses in 2005, audited a class in 2006, and studied abroad for a summer in Chile in 2006. I completed an internship in Panama in the fall of 2012 and worked last year on a project where I was the only Spanish speaker on my team, working with a partner in Bolivia. My Spanish has always come in handy!

I offer a learner-centered approach that works with students through texts but also tries to draw from music, video, and other media that make the learning experience fun! Where possible, I also try to bring in cultural contexts to the topics.
While I do believe that memorization and understanding grammatical points are important, I believe in finding the best way to make the subject matter and the culture accessible to my students. I am always open to questions, suggestions, and changing approaches if they do not work.
