About Vinayak
I’m an intermediate guitarist based in Versova, Andheri West, Mumbai, and I’ve been playing for over 2 years. I encourage the students to learn songs they actually like, and not just music theory. I teach rock, blues, jazz, and pop, and I offer both online and offline lessons. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I enjoy helping students feel comfortable with the guitar and confident in their own playing.

My teaching approach
My approach as a guitar teacher is practical, structured, and student-focused. As an intermediate guitarist, I focus on building strong fundamentals while helping students actually enjoy playing music rather than just memorizing exercises.
Teaching techniques & methods
Proper posture, picking, and fretting technique
Chords, scales, and rhythm
Genre-specific playing styles from rock, blues, jazz, and pop
Learning real songs to apply techniques immediately
Basic improvisation and ear training (especially for blues and rock)
Usual structure of a class:
Riff of the day
Understanding the concept behind it
Applying the concept through riffs, exercises, or songs
Practice guidance and clear take-home exercises
For online classes, I use clear camera angles and structured explanations to ensure nothing is missed.
