About Davin
I’ve been playing chess for over a year now and have played over 350 games total. I’m in the 97th percentile and am qualified to teach beginners. I also have experience teaching other middle and high school aged students in chess and choir, as I was a section leader. I’ve learned a lot from this experience and would be glad to teach anyone about this game I’ve come to love.

I was a member of my school’s chess team, and I didn’t lose a single game this season. My students can expect a cooperative learning environment, as I will go through every move they make to understand exactly what their reasoning was behind it and shed light on some common mistakes. I want to teach anyone who considers themselves beginners as I know how difficult it can be to start playing this game and feel like you’re not getting anywhere. My goal is to jumpstart your understanding and lead to a spot where you feel confident about your chess abilities.
