About Lana
I am thrilled for this great opportunity to join your collaborative and exceptional work. After researching your philosophy and learning more about your core values, I am confident that my own beliefs will align to make an incredible impact in education by building learning and software habits that will drive student achievement. With a background in education leadership and Scrum management in the classroom, I hope to leverage my project management skills, K-12 teaching, and school-based training experience for successful implementation of your goals and aspirations.
First, I hope to bring my leadership experience as the current K-5 Instructional ELA and Math Coach for Dracut Public Schools, where I lead PLCs for more than 50 teachers in total. We work collaboratively to reach district goals, identifying data trends, curriculum analysis, and school wide objectives. Beforehand, I was the Instructional Math Coach for Saugus Public Schools, where I collaborate with a team of more than 65 members to lead and implement regular elementary assessment and to analyze student data. I led teachers in Professional Development to diagnose instructional needs and use identify research-based instructional strategies to close achievement gaps. As a classroom teacher in Saugus, Ma, ranging from grades 3-5 since 2015, I helped my school receive a Title of Recognition (2019) for greatest MCAS growth in ELA and Math. I have also produced the top scores in ELA and Math MCAS results consecutively from 2015-2019. As a certified Scrum Master, I provide individualized, classroom-based support to implement comprehensive programs using this framework and modeling. I have assisted in the development and delivery of numerous technology projects, developing skills in cross-functional team management, strategic data and educational analysis, and high-quality project delivery.
