About Taylor
I have 3 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Studies. Since beginning my teaching career, I have enjoyed helping students overcome mathematical challenges through supportive mentoring, structured instruction, and engaging lessons that encourage independent thinking. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where every student feels capable of achieving success.
One student initially struggled with interpreting cumulative probability distributions because understanding how probabilities accumulated across intervals seemed confusing. Through visual demonstrations, practical examples, and guided exercises, the student gradually developed stronger analytical skills and achieved excellent results in mathematics assessments.
I believe mathematics develops creativity, resilience, logical reasoning, precision, and curiosity that prepare students for academic achievement and lifelong learning. Outside teaching, I enjoy creating mathematics challenge activities, exploring educational technology, and participating in teacher training workshops that help me continually improve my instructional methods.

My teaching philosophy focuses on helping students develop genuine mathematical understanding by encouraging curiosity, logical reasoning, and practical application. Before lessons begin, I evaluate each student's mathematical background, learning preferences, confidence level, academic objectives, and study habits. This enables me to create individualized lesson plans that strengthen core mathematical concepts while gradually introducing more advanced topics through organized instruction.
Students receive instruction in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, introductory calculus, mathematical reasoning, quantitative analysis, and data interpretation. Lessons integrate conceptual explanations, guided demonstrations, collaborative discussions, visual learning activities, structured practice, independent exploration, and reflective review sessions. Students are encouraged to explain their thinking, compare alternative approaches, and develop flexible problem-solving skills that extend beyond examinations.
Lessons regularly include examples from engineering, business analytics, computer science, architecture, economics, healthcare, and environmental sustainability to demonstrate how mathematics is applied in real-world situations. Continuous assessments, personalized assignments, cumulative revision sessions, and detailed academic feedback reinforce understanding while preparing students confidently for future learning.
Students preparing for board examinations, SAT, ACT, university entrance examinations, scholarship assessments, or competitive mathematics programs receive individualized preparation plans featuring revision schedules, timed mock examinations, examination strategies, and comprehensive performance evaluations.
