About Lily

With 8 years of tutoring experience and more than 150 students served, I know how important it is to teach Spanish in a way that feels human, engaging, and useful. Most of my students are high schoolers and college students who feel stuck—either confused by grammar rules, nervous about speaking, or overwhelmed by the pace of their classes. My goal is to slow things down and build up your confidence with clear explanations and consistent practice. We work on the fundamentals, of course—verb conjugation, sentence structure, pronunciation—but we also have real conversations, explore music, break down short texts, and learn how Spanish works in different countries and cultures. I had one student who used to freeze every time they had to speak in class. Through low-pressure speaking practice, listening exercises, and a lot of patience, they eventually started participating in their school’s Spanish club—and even led a group project in Spanish. Language learning is not just about memorization—it’s about communication, connection, and growth. I want you to walk away from every session feeling a little stronger and more motivated than before.

I adapt lessons to your preferred learning style—whether you learn best through speaking, writing, listening, or reading—and incorporate relevant cultural content to deepen your connection to Spanish-speaking communities.

I also use a variety of tools such as interactive apps, authentic media, and real-life scenarios to make lessons engaging and applicable. Whether preparing for exams, travel, or professional communication, my goal is to help you become a confident Spanish speaker who enjoys every step of the language learning process.
