About Mirianna
In 2019 I set up Audio Tutor, a female-led tutoring company specialising in providing a safe, inclusive environment for audio enthusiasts to learn and develop. Drawing from a rich spectrum of skills, gathered from my ongoing career as a producer and songwriter, my teaching methods are based around current industry-standard practices. Work History: After completing my degree in Music Technology, I began a career in music production. Working as a mentor, project manager, and producer, I have produced commercial releases for artists in and around Bristol. I've performed at festivals and various venues around the country and have released my own music. Over the years, I have built a strong network within the industry and have developed connections with many talented individuals. In addition to my work in songwriting & music production, I also work as a senior audio editor in podcasting and have been involved in numerous projects for high-profile clients and companies, including the BBC. Feel free to contact me here or directly at Audio Tutor for a free consultation!

My lessons are based around your needs. Whether you're a complete beginner or you're looking to polish up your skillset, we'll first start by addressing the gaps in your knowledge by looking at some music theory... If you've ever tried to learn music theory before, you might be sweating at the thought of it. Most resources focus on complicated explanations, including notation and confusing terminology. But, fear not, I used to be completely baffled by it too, and from my own experience, I've developed worksheets and easy workarounds to ensure you know exactly what you need to be able to write amazing songs. No notation, and no unnecessary complications! This is music theory purely for modern songwriting, so we'll be focusing on mastering these topics: - Chords - Melody - Harmony - Rhythm - Structure - Hooks Once you feel confident with music theory, the next stage is storytelling; being a songwriter means being a storyteller! Are you taking the listener on a journey when they hear your songs? Every great song has a narrative, be it subtle or clear. Each songwriting decision you make should be serving that narrative. In this stage, we’ll learn exactly how to do that by developing your lyric-writing and by utilising narrative-driven composition: Lyrics: Lyrics are an integral part of telling your story. We want to make sure your lyrics are in keeping with your genre and style, sophisticated, and expressive. Take this classic lyric for example: “And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills, till the landslide brought me down.” – Fleetwood Mac, Landslide I can think of a million less poignant ways to say that statement, but the way it’s written here is simple, yet incredibly poetic and emotive. We’ll learn some integral writing techniques to ensure your lyrics are hitting the right narrative cues! Narrative Driven Composition: Imagine a part of your lyrics describes a certain scenario or feeling. How do we embed that feeling throughout the music so that it matches the lyrics? Take the song 'Running up that hill' by Kate Bush. This song evokes a sense of urgency; the title literally says ‘running’ in it! So, how is this feeling carried out through the actual composition?... The drums! The rhythm feels almost as if the drums themselves are running. We can focus on even more areas of composition, not just the drums, to make sure each element of the song is serving the overall narrative! I hope this gives you a good idea of what types of topics we can unpack together; however, there are many more to discover! Having taught many students over the years, I find that the best way of learning something new is to develop a project in which you can deploy all of the techniques we learn together. So have a think about the type of project you might want to focus on (don't worry, I can help you with this too)! How I Teach: - A genre-specific approach based on your interests. - Analysis of your favourite songs for tangible examples. - Engaging exercises tailored to you and the songs you're writing. - Easy-to-use cheat sheets that break down your learning. Get in touch directly through Audio Tutor to avoid extra fees from SuperProf! Give us a Google search, and we should appear :)

I've only had few lessons with Mirianna, but I can surely say that she is a highly talented, beautiful and enthusiastic guitar teacher...
Very calm and professional ,always has a smile in her face,Mirianna has a tailor made approach to teaching based on your level and experience...
I would highly recommend Mirianna as your guitar tutor !I’ve been learning recording techniques from Miri over the past 3 months and she’s taught me so much about correct mic placement. I now feel confident that I can record myself well enough on my own. We’re moving on to look at editing techniques next!
Miri has been teaching me music production for the past year and I've learned so much. She's a great teacher, always takes the time to explain things (multiple times and in different ways if needed) and has a real passion for her subject.
I’ve worked with Miri for the last 3 years and she is one of the most knowledgable music tutors I know. She’s incredibly patient and will take what you want to learn Into account whilst teaching you the fundamentals so you can apply your new learned knowledge.
I highly recommend Miri as a tutor. I already had a basic understand of music tech but she was able to tailor our sessions so that I could develop my knowledge of production techniques to enable me to progress further. Her sessions are really engaging, you can tell she cares about her students as she always goes the extra mile.
Mirianna is a very reliable tutor. She is very knowledgeable in her field and has a lot to offer.
