About Gibran

We all have great ideas. Few of us are willing to carry them out. In 2014 I was fortunate to discover two of my great passions: illustration and design. These tools have allowed me to undertake and participate in projects that have filled me with personal, spiritual and professional satisfaction, with which I have managed to motivate, inspire and add value to many people in my life. During my academic training as a comprehensive designer with a specialty in industrial design, I developed representation, photography, visual composition, communication and creative thinking skills. In 2018 I started a project that to this day I consider one of my greatest professional achievements and of which I am very proud, in which I developed and put into practice branding skills, product design, editorial design, audiovisual production, strategic planning. , coordination of cultural events and leadership. During 2020, as a result of the world situation, I focused my efforts to perfect my digital illustration and drawing skills, as well as the autonomous study of concept art techniques. In 2021 I carried out the research and professional development project "Design of sports footwear for the practice of urban sports in Cuernavaca" to receive me as a Bachelor of Industrial Design. Finally I started teaching online illustration and drawing classes.

About the lesson

My course is aimed at art, design and illustration students, who have an interest in developing and polishing their traditional sketching and 2D rendering technique with Photoshop. The focus of the course will facilitate the representation of volumes, shapes and surfaces efficiently, starting from the most basic to complex shapes. Once we have the foundations we can make a final project with the approach that interests them the most between vehicles, robots, portrait, human figure or landscapes. Drawing, art and illustration enthusiasts over the age of 12 can also sign up, as long as they take the classes seriously.

Drawing syllabus:

-Surfaces, shapes and primary volumes in perspective at 3 vanishing points
- Plane, cube, pyramid, sphere, donuts, ellipses, discs and tubes.
- Complex shapes through deformations (vehicles and robots)
-Use of references (Proportion, Blocks, and Detail)
- Introduction to the face and its features
- Expressiveness and emotions of the face [ N] -Face from different angles
-Human figure and dynamic postures from a volumetric approach
