About Amy
I am a current 4th year medical student at Rutgers and incoming Internal Medicine resident physician at Columbia University. As a 16 year old, I was certain I wanted to become a physician and went through the 7 year combined BS/MD program with TCNJ and Rutgers. In medical school, I was inducted as a junior into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (top % of class) and into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
I first began tutoring in high school and continued through all of college. In medical school, I have had the privilege of being a teaching assistant, MiniMed preceptor, and student clinic director to further hone my teaching skills.
Growing up, I always aspired to be like the very mentors and educators whom I was in constant awe of. Teaching and education have been so deeply engrained in my life, such that I hope to be a clinician educator in my future practice.

Since I was younger, my parents always instilled in me that the key to success was repetition and practicing problems. As a student myself for over a decade, I have found that the most meaningful and productive manner of learning has been practice and more practice (not having someone talk at you)!
As a tutor, I will be sitting alongside you and helping you practice problems and giving real time feedback.
