About Adhithya
I have always found Biology interesting because it explains so much of what happens around us and inside us. I’m a medical graduate and currently a PhD researcher in Medicine, so Biology has been a big part of both my education and my everyday work.
Before starting my PhD, I spent nearly two years working in a secondary school in the UK as a Teaching Assistant. I also worked as a Cover Supervisor, including supporting GCSE-level classes. Being in a classroom taught me that students learn very differently. Sometimes a topic is not actually difficult—you just need someone to explain it in a way that makes sense to you.
My own background covers Biology, Human Physiology, Anatomy, Nutrition and health sciences, and my current PhD research is in digital health and gestational diabetes. I enjoy connecting what students learn from their textbooks to things they can actually see and understand in real life.
I’m quite patient and easy to talk to, and I want my students to feel comfortable saying, “I don’t understand this.” We can go back, try a different explanation, draw it out, use an example or simply take it step by step until it clicks. For me, that moment when a student finally understands a topic is the best part of teaching.

I teach Biology and Physiology through clear, concept-based explanations rather than asking students to simply memorize facts. I first understand the student’s current level and areas of difficulty, then tailor each lesson accordingly. I use diagrams, real-life examples, questions and step-by-step explanations to make complex topics easier to understand. **I also provide personalized notes, summaries and revision material after lessons**, so students have something clear and organized to refer back to when studying on their own.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, although the duration can be adjusted depending on the student’s age, level and learning needs.
I am a medical graduate with UK teaching experience, including nearly two years working as a Teaching Assistant and experience as a Cover Supervisor supporting GCSE-level students. I currently work in health research and am pursuing a PhD in digital health.
My lessons are suitable for school students, GCSE/IGCSE students and undergraduate students studying Biology, Human Biology or Physiology. I also welcome students who simply want to strengthen their understanding or prepare for examinations.
