About Dorsa
Hello! My name is Dorsa and I am a first year Medical Bioscience student at Imperial College London. I have always had a passion for teaching and sharing my interest in the human sciences.
As a tutor, my goal is to help students see that the key to successful learning lies in a strong understanding of the concepts, mastering effective memorisation techniques, and applying that knowledge confidently to tackle exam questions.
I believe that learning more straightforward and enjoyable when approached with the right strategies. I would be delighted to support you through your academic journey and help you ace your exams :)

My approach to teaching is centred around creating a personalised and effective learning experience tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Before each lesson, I engage with students to understand the specific topics they would like me to cover ensuring that each lesson is focused and aligned with their learning objectives. I would focus on explaining the difficult topic thoroughly, answering any questions my student has and targeting on which concept they find most challenging. Once the student demonstrates confidence in their understanding, we will work through relevant exam questions to develop problem-solving skills. At the end of each lesson, we will summarise the key learning points to reinforce understanding. I also incorporate retrieval practice at the start of each session, revisiting prior material to strengthen retention.
My lessons are typically one hour in length, designed for A-Level students who are looking to strengthen their understanding of Biology or Chemistry. My ultimate goal for my students is to build their confidence, foster a positive learning environment, and help them achieve their academic goals.
