About Ansh
Hi, I'm Ansh Waddon, currently studying Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London. I've always found Maths, Physics, and Chemistry to be more than just subjects. For me, they're exciting fields full of intriguing problems waiting to be solved, and I want to share that excitement with others.
There's a thrill in finding solutions to challenging problems, in understanding the 'why' behind the 'what'. It's like a puzzle, a mystery to be unravelled. That feeling when everything clicks into place? This is what I strive to achieve with my students.
But my interests aren't confined to textbooks. I believe a well-rounded person nurtures their mind and body equally. When I'm not pondering over equations and theories, you can find me practising Taekwondo or going to the gym. These activities not only help you keep yourself physically fit but also sharpen your focus and discipline.
So, whether it's mastering a tricky calculus problem or grasping the principles of mechanics, there's always something to look forward to. Let's get started on this journey of exploration and discovery.

Learning, I believe, is a dynamic process that varies from person to person. Some of us are visual learners, while others prefer auditory methods. Personally, I'm a mix of visual and practice-based learner. I grasp new concepts by visualizing them and then applying them in practice.
I aim to bring this understanding of diverse learning styles to my teaching approach. It's important to tailor the teaching style to match the student's preferred learning mode. This could mean using diagrams for a visual learner or using real-world applications for others.
Keeping lessons engaging is essential. I believe in the power of curiosity, and one of my objectives is to spark this curiosity in my students. Instead of making lessons feel like a chore, I aim to make them an exciting adventure. This could involve relating physics principles to favourite sports or connecting mathematical concepts to everyday life.
Moreover, fostering an interactive environment encourages active learning. Asking thought-provoking questions, encouraging discussions, and appreciating every small victory can make learning fun and rewarding. In addition, I’ll make sure the students have a good grasp of their basics as well, to ensure there are no underlying problems.
The goal is to create a learning environment that is interactive, personalized, and enjoyable. With this approach, I hope to not just teach, but inspire a love for learning that stays with my students throughout their academic journey and beyond.
During my time in sixth form, I embraced the rewarding role of tutoring a peer in Maths. This experience went beyond typical peer assistance; it involved structured, weekly sessions dedicated to translating complex mathematical concepts into digestible information. I took on the responsibility of setting attainable goals, tracking their progress, and continuously refining our approach to maximise understanding and build their confidence.
This journey in academic mentorship extended to assisting friends with A-level Physics and supporting my younger sibling in navigating GCSE Maths and science topics. These sessions could last for several hours, but the reward of seeing them understand and master new concepts was immeasurable.
Parallel to this, my teaching portfolio expanded beyond academics as I ventured into coaching Taekwondo to both adults and children as a junior instructor. This platform enabled me to explore a diverse range of teaching methodologies, enhance my adaptability to different learning paces, and emphasise discipline and focus in the learning journey.
My lessons are 1 hour long and are for anyone studying A-levels, GCSE and below
