About Rajarshi
Hello, my name is Rajarshi. I am a graduate of IIT Madras, one of India's premier institutes, with a degree in Data Science and Applications. I also have research experience in Machine Learning. I teach Math, Python, Computer Science, Data Science, AI and ML.
At IIT Madras, peer learning and teaching others were a regular part of my academic journey, including working as a teaching assistant. This taught me how to explain complex concepts in a simple and intuitive way, while adapting my teaching to each student's level.
Subjects such as Linear Algebra, AI/ML and Data Science require a strong conceptual understanding, not just memorization. My goal is to build that understanding from the fundamentals so that students know not only how to solve a problem, but why the solution works.
My education also had a strong practical component, with 10+ coding and technical projects alongside theoretical coursework. I received the "Best Capstone Project" award for my Machine Learning project, which further strengthened my interest in applying concepts to real-world problems.
Outside academics, I've placed in the top 10 in several major hackathons, including Google Agentic AI Day and the Amazon ML Challenge, and won the Indian National Hackathon BharatGen.
Whether you're learning from scratch, preparing for exams, working on projects, or trying to build a deeper understanding of AI and Data Science, I'll focus on making the concepts clear, intuitive, and practical.

My teaching style is influenced by how we were taught in IIT.
- Rather than jumping straight into a topic, I explain why we need to learn it and where the concept comes from. This helps students connect it with previously learned concepts, since almost everything is interconnected.
- I focus on building strong fundamentals so there are no gaps in understanding, and then have students apply those concepts through textbook and practical problems.
- I then use unseen questions to test true understanding. Some may be above the student's current level, but if they can solve them, it shows they’ve understood the concept rather than simply memorized solutions.
- In my college exams, questions were rarely repeated, leaving no room for memorization. We had to understand why things worked through intuitive explanations, real-world examples, and hands-on problem solving and that’s exactly how I teach my students.

I was an offline student of Rajarshi and he taught me computer science in the 10th grade. I will just state one example of why he is a wonderful teacher.
