About Ahmed

I am a third-year Education student and preservice teacher at the University of Alberta. With over five years of experience tutoring English for ESL learners, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by students learning English as a second language.

With a passion for Education and commitment to helping others has been the driving force behind my career and academic journey. I have developed an approach to education that is rooted in patience, understanding, and the belief that every student can master the English language with the right guidance and support.

About the lesson

I specialize in teaching students the art of academic writing and essay composition. One of the most important skills that anyone can take from an English language education is the ability to articulate your thoughts and ideas in a compelling way. This skill carries over into any profession of any career, because it strengthens our ability to communicate.

My method is backed by decades of cutting edge educational psychology research. I believe in the value of consistency, that slow and steady effort out paces cramming any day. I start my lessons with an overview of my student's assignments and needs, and after working through that, I provide my own resources and material from my vast inventory.

I make sure that my students leave every lesson with a concrete understanding of a new concept, or the consolidation of previous lesson material, as well as a goal that they can work towards in the next lesson.
