About Muneesh
Hey, I’m Muneesh. I’ve been speaking English since kindergarten, thanks to growing up in a Christian missionary school where I was taught phonetics and grammar from the ground up which gave me an incredibly strong foundation. I scored 8.5 on the IELTS and spend a lot of time writing prose and short stories, so I know my way around both spoken and written English.
I’m currently studying mechanical engineering, but I’m also really into philosophy and psychology—I love digging into how people think and what drives them. Over the past two years in Malaysia, I’ve gotten to know local culture and how people like to speak, so I can tailor lessons to what you need. I’ve helped friends and family improve their English informally, and I always focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple steps so you don't face a single hitch along the way.
I’m cheerful, patient, and persistent—once we set our sights on a goal, I won’t stop until we get there. That's a pessimistic trait of mine I got from being a competitive athlete. When I'm away from my academics I spend a lot of time training for powerlifting so I can one day represent my country on the international stage. So far I've gotten to compete in the Malaysian National Powerlifting Championships, but the road ahead of me is long and arduous. Hopefully I get to achieve my dreams one day. Fingers crossed.

I start with a free one-hour lesson so we can get to know each other and see where you’re at, and figure out how you learn best. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes so you can relax and speak naturally.
For adults, we’ll try jumping into role-play scenarios that mimic real-life conversations: ordering at a café, running a business meeting, or even texting a friend. We’ll also do listening drills so you’re never caught off guard when someone speaks quickly. If you’re a parent searching a tutor for your adolescent, I’ll prepare fun slideshows to keep them engaged and energy levels high. I understand that it's important to prioritize the spontaneity of a child, so of course I'll make the lessons as enjoyable as I can.
After each lesson, I’ll give you small homework tasks. I do this because it’s not enough to be good in class; you need to use what you’ve learned on your own, too. If you don’t repeat new information, our brains tend to let it slip away. So I’ll suggest things like writing a short text, watching a quick video clip, or practicing dialogue aloud. These daily habits help you remember and strengthen your skills.
Classes are online during weekdays, and I’ll adjust my approach to fit your goals. It could be building confidence, improving pronunciation, or writing more clearly; whatever you need help with. If you're very eager with my classes we can arrange for weekend lessons as well. I'd love to teach you!
