About Mallory
I am married, have a 1.5-year-old son, and 2 dogs. I live in South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!), where I was born and raised. I hope my experience in both the hospital and outpatient world, as well as success in NCLEX proves that I will be a helpful tool on your road to success! I have worked with patients in ages ranging from birth to the elderly. My current position is telephone triage and determining safe and timely care for sick children and educating their parents on how to manage illness and other chronic diseases. I am extremely passionate about guiding students and new graduate nurses. I was unfortunately one of the nurses who went through experiences that confirmed my belief in the saying “nurses eat their young” and I’m on a journey to change that!

Hey there! I’ve been a nurse for over 7 years and would love to help get you to where you want to be. I know how hard the journey to the finish line is! I graduated from a 4-year BSN program and passed the NCLEX on the first attempt with the 75-question minimum cutoff. As a new grad, I worked in trauma in the Stepdown ICU. After a year and a half, I transitioned to the cardiac ICU. I experienced significant burnout during peak COVID-19 (delta variant times!) and almost left the field of nursing altogether. I applied to a job at a local outpatient general pediatrics clinic and have been in my current position for four and a half years and love my job! My wide range of specialties and age ranges paired with my love for precepting student nurses as well as new graduate nurses is what has driven me to start tutoring. I would love to answer any questions you may have to see if we may be the right fit.
