About Meher
My name is Meher. I was born in California and raised near Chicago, and I have been tutoring math and science for most of my life.
I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with degrees in Mathematics and Statistics, where I discovered my passion for data science and machine learning. I have strong hands-on experience with SQL, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other tools commonly used in real-world data science workflows.
Before leaving IBM in 2025, I spent five years there as a machine learning lead, working on practical, production-grade data science and machine learning projects. Because of that experience, I do not just teach theory. I help students understand how data science is actually used in industry, how models are built and deployed, and how to prepare for real data science and machine learning roles.
More recently, I founded a startup focused on tinyML and edge AI. In this work, I have developed sensor fusion and computer vision algorithms for human activity recognition, bringing machine learning models onto low-power devices where efficiency, accuracy, and real-world reliability are critical.
I have helped many students and professionals build their skills, prepare for interviews, and create a roadmap toward a career in data science. My teaching philosophy is simple: anyone can learn machine learning with the right guidance, pacing, and structure.

I believe students learn best when complex ideas are broken down into first principles. We start with the most intuitive version of a concept, then gradually connect the pieces until the bigger picture becomes clear. I tailor every lesson to the individual student, whether they learn best visually, through discussion, or by working through hands-on examples.
My goal is to make technical concepts feel understandable, practical, and useful — while helping each student build the confidence to keep learning independently.
I teach all level - elementary school to professionals.
