About Serena
I am a junior at Johns Hopkins University, double majoring in Neuroscience and Applied Mathematics & Statistics. I loved to study for big exams like the SAT and ACT; it was a lot like putting a puzzle together. I have tutored for 5 years now, ranging from teaching kindergartens how to read to teaching high school students SAT Mathematics.

I love sharing my knowledge with others and have tutored steadily since senior year of high school. I know what it feels like to be stuck on a problem and to be unable to solve it no matter how long one spends tackling it. I love tutoring because I can help my students understand where they are stuck and with guidance, how to continue the problem on their own. Seeing that switch in a student is the best part of tutoring for me.

My rates may vary depending on the student. We can assess after our first session. 24 hr cancellation will be charged $30 and a no show will be charged for 75% of the lesson.
