About Sal
I have always wanted to teach and worked hard to achieve my goal in becoming fully qualified. I practise all forms of equality and will not tolerate disrespect. I am well-respected by my colleagues, students, governors and parents alike. I am honest, trustworthy, hard-working and practise discretion. I am confident, caring, and I have my students' best interests at heart. I aim to inspire you and I will encourage and support you to be the best that you can be whatever it is that we are doing. My style is hands-on and relaxed. I tailor-make lessons to suit your individuality. I am positive, calm and have a great sense of humour. My lessons are fun and practical wherever possible. I want you to enjoy learning with me. I can work with all aspects of your preferred method of learning (visual, auditory and kinaesthetic). I can motivate you and encourage you to do your best. You will gain confidence and will develop a sense of self-worth and self-belief. I will encourage you to take pride in your learning. I have high expectations of you as well as myself. We will have mutual respect for each other. We can work together for 30 to 90 minutes, depending on your need. We can work together at your school, in a library, in my home, at your home, in a children's home, in a hospital - wherever you feel you will best learn. You can be aged from 5 years to 100 years! I have been a fully qualified teacher for 34 years, have worked with thousands and thousands of children and young people. I love my job! I usually teach students in Key Stage 2.
