About Abital
Hi! I’m Abital — a calm, patient, and confidence-focused Maths tutor with over three years of experience helping children aged 5–14 discover that maths isn’t something to fear, but something they can understand and even enjoy. I’ve worked with learners who felt completely stuck, learners who needed a gentle boost, and learners aiming for higher grades and I love seeing each one grow in their own way.
My teaching style is warm, steady, and highly personalised. I take time to understand how a student thinks, what they find challenging, and what helps them feel confident. From there, I break topics into simple steps, build strong problem-solving habits, and create a space where mistakes are part of learning, not something to worry about. Whether you’re preparing for KS3, GCSE, Functional Skills, or rebuilding confidence from the basics, I tailor every lesson to your pace and goals.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Economics & Development Studies from SOAS, which strengthened my analytical approach and love for clear, structured thinking. More than anything, I enjoy helping learners realise they’re capable of far more than they believed and watching that confidence spill into other parts of their life.

Every learner is unique, and my teaching is built around that belief. I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style so lessons feel supportive, personalised, and genuinely enjoyable. My goal is always the same: to help learners build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills, and realise they can succeed in maths.
Many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they’ve lost confidence or haven’t yet found methods that work for them. I focus on breaking concepts into simple, manageable steps, using clear explanations, guided practice, and exam-style questions to strengthen understanding. As confidence grows, students become more willing to take on challenges, think independently, and often begin to enjoy the subject more than they expected.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and tailored to each learner’s goals — whether that’s filling knowledge gaps, preparing for exams, improving grades, or rebuilding confidence. I encourage students to explain their thinking, ask questions, and develop a growth mindset that supports them far beyond the classroom.
I have over three years of experience tutoring learners aged 5–14 in Maths and English, and I hold a BA (Hons) in Economics & Development Studies from SOAS, University of London. I support KS3, GCSE, and adult learners working towards Functional Skills or GCSE-equivalent qualifications.
