About Alyssa
My name is Aly, and I’m a soon to be graduate from the University of Glasgow, studying Sociology and Social and Public Policy. I am also heavily involved in debating, so have learnt how to effectively wield language and to use foundational knowledge to glean insight on more specialist subjects. I have a deep love of learning and I believe effective education comes from finding passion in the subject area and making learning exciting and engaging, rather than a series of information to memorise

My approach to learning is targeted to the particular student and their learning style, and will include practical applications, review of current and upcoming assignments, and advice on unique struggles within the given subject area. In particular, I aim to help students to express what they already know in the most efficacious way and to target gaps in foundational knowledge and the capacity to learn on one’s own.
