About Sophie
I am a second-year undergraduate student at Huron University College at Western University. Currently, I am taking Honours Specialization in Psychology and Minoring in History. However, I have taken a variety of university courses in different subject areas outside of my degree content ranging from Math to English.
I have always loved learning and aim to inspire the same in my students. I want all students to feel comfortable in the content they are learning, no matter what that content or level may be.
Always remember that I am here to help - really my students lead our session with what they want to learn and improve upon.

My teaching helps support students who are struggling with their course work. Prior to our session, students can send me examples of what they are learning currently at school. Following that, I will prepare sample exercises to see exactly what my students are struggling with. Students are encouraged to bring any materials that were difficult for them from class to tutoring sessions so we can review them together.
My goal is to find a method that works for my students, so all lesson plans and teaching methods are individual and curated to suit the student.

My first lesson is really closer to a consultation - it does not usually take longer that 30 minutes. This feature allows us to meet and see if I am a good fit to help you with what you are looking for. We can go over what strategies work best for you and how I can best support your learning so that when we meet again, I am prepared to set both of us off on the right track!
