About Zuri
Hi! My name is Zuri, and I am an incoming senior with a passion for helping students learn and grow. I have experience tutoring elementary and middle school students with a strong understanding that every learner is different. My goal is to create a positive, patient, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gaining confidence in their abilities.
In addition to tutoring, I am pursuing a career in healthcare and have earned certifications in CPR, AED, First Aid, and Basic Life Support. These experiences have strengthened my communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills while reinforcing the importance of safety, patience, and responsibility.
Whether your student needs help understanding a difficult concept, preparing for an upcoming test, or building stronger study habits, I am committed to providing personalized support that helps them succeed both inside and outside of our lessons. I strive to make every lesson engaging, productive, and tailored to each student's individual goals.

My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence and study habits while still developing a strong understanding of the material. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to fit each student's needs and learning pace. I always create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.
A typical lesson of mine begins by reviewing any questions or concepts the student is struggling with. Then, I explain new material using clear, step-by-step examples, followed by guided practice and independent work to make sure the student truly understands the topic. I also share study strategies and tips that students can use on their own outside of our sessions.
What sets me apart is my patience, strong communication skills, and passion for helping others succeed. I have experience tutoring elementary and middle school students and enjoy finding different ways to explain concepts until they make sense. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students become more confident and independent learners.
My lessons are best suited for elementary and middle school students who need extra support with coursework, homework, test preparation, or building strong study habits.
