About Lyla
As previously mentioned, I am a 4.0 honors student. I have earned several academic awards including Varsity Scholar, Student of the Month (nominated by my English teacher), Citizenship Role model, and 4.0+ Scholar. I have placed highly in several original oratory competitions, along with my creative writing experience.

I am extremely passionate about reading and writing. For the past four years, I've taken Honors English. My real specialty is writing. I was a state qualifier for a creative writing competition and placed 13th in my regional tournament out of 120 participants. I am an older sister to three brothers, two under the age of three. My eldest brother is on the spectrum, so I am comfortable working with neurodivergent kids. I am incredibly patient and willing to try different teaching styles per a student's need.
