About Aroush
As a current advanced student, I sat in the exact same class lessons they are in right now, so I know exactly how modern school material is taught and how stressful it can feel.
Combined with my Gateways to Opportunity certificate, I bridge the gap between a peer who "gets it" and a trained educator who knows how to adapt to your child's specific learning pace. I offer a patient, enthusiastic, and relatable environment that older tutors simply cannot replicate!

About Me & Who My Lessons Are For
I am a high school honor student taking a rigorous, advanced course load. I hold a Gateways to Opportunity certificate, which means I have formal training in early childhood development and learning milestones.
My lessons are specifically designed for Elementary and Middle School students (Grades K-8) who need help with English, reading comprehension, grammar, writing, or vocabulary. Because of my certificate, I specialize in making reading fun and accessible for younger learners, including those who struggle to stay focused.
My Teaching Method & Techniques
I use an interactive, confidence-first approach. I don’t just lecture, I use a method called "Scaffolding" This means I break big, intimidating English concepts (like writing a paragraph or breaking down a difficult reading passage) into small, bite-sized steps. I use visual aids, interactive word games, and real-time positive reinforcement to keep lessons engaging and build your child's confidence.
A Typical Lesson Plan
• Warm-Up: A quick, fun word game or reading riddle to wake up the brain and get the student talking.
• Homework & Goal Check (10 mins): Reviewing any school assignments, essays, or specific trouble spots the student faced that week.
• Core Concept: We tackle the main goal (e.g., mastering a grammar rule, practicing reading fluency, or outlining a paragraph) using interactive digital whiteboards and examples.
• Independent Practice (10 mins): The student tries a few examples on their own with me right there to gently guide them if they get stuck.
• Wrap-Up: A recap of what they mastered today and a quick preview of what we will do next time to keep them excited.
