About Madison
I am a graduate from Bixby High School. I graduated with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.8 weighted GPA, and was one of the Bixby Class of 2019 Salutatorians. I was also selected as one of 100 students to be Oklahoma Academic All-Staters.
Being an athlete growing up, and then switching to band in high school, I know exactly how hard it is to balance homework with the rest of growing up and how hard it is to fall behind. Teachers may not have the time to get you or your child up to speed, or, sometimes, something just won’t make sense. That’s why I am here to help. I am a swim instructor, so I have a lot of experience working with a wide range of kids, and have been a private Algebra tutor for some time now. I’m here to offer K-12 tutoring in any subject, as well as ACT prep, general study tips, and homework help.

I try to structure my tutoring like a mini, personalized lesson. Usually, I start off with concept, show examples, and then help the student work through it their self. I do not and will not do homework for the student, but I will be there to guide and go through answers.
The greatest benefit to me was struggling through Algebra I in 7th grade. I simply couldn’t understand the first month of material, but I struggled through it, studied like crazy, and, eventually, it clicked. The way I treated my first academic obstacle really set the tone for the rest of my high school career. While maybe this isn’t for everyone, I think there is something to be said about quite literally working through your own problems—however, a little help is always nice.
