About Soutrik

I tailor my experiences to the specific exam board and tier of examination (higher and foundation) that each student is undertaking and work to ensure they can understand how to pass those exams. I like to work holistically with maths, biology, chemistry and physics as these four core subjects may interconnect with each other - so teaching one topic could help in aiding another. I have a BSc. in biomedical science. I have an MSc. in cancer biology and therapeutics, I have a PGCE in Chemistry, I have worked in COVID labs, I have taught in schools, I have worked with students and adults to transfer a passion about science and the world.

About the lesson

I break down concepts from physics using modelling targeted at a GCSE - A-level audience, each 1-hour lesson includes review, guided practice, independent practice then a plenary. I have been tutoring science for the last 3 years and have now graduated as a qualified teacher

I had this tutor for 2 years, his methods are great and he gets you to work on your weaknesses while also promoting your strengths.
Very consistently high standard and always on time to lessons, I feel I did much better in my GCSEs because of him!

Rik tutored me for approximately 6 months before my GCSE exams, our lessons being on triple science and maths, and I found that with his help I was able to have a great understanding of the concepts needed and they helped me a lot in my exams.
